Donna Ruze
Donna, dear. Do you? Lie.
In spite of all I have said; (past tense.)
That lying is cold-blooded- (still.) … you are,
Worming your way to the core of
The sick-list. Donna… (that is my impression)
You are too ripe to be mistaken as
Rotten and thrown on the pile
To be eaten by pigs.
You are diamond. (“were”...

If ripe and rotten were the same;
You would be without a name.

Roses in a Graveyard
In the depth of the night
Dark as a rose,
The graveyard was still.
No-body goes.
And in that dark night,
The wind dared to stir.
Here came the lover
with roses for her.
Black from his top hat
To cap of his boots,
He leant by the grave
At the maple tree’s roots.
He sat for a while,
Mind cloaked in thought.
Then offered the gift;
The roses he’d brought.
A sob broke the...

A Fantasy
And your hair was curling, twirled around
Little finger protruding from a golden-kissed hand
And blowing gently, a vortex of summer berries
Down, down into my hand.
William Blake - The Fly
William Blake - The Fly
Little Fly,
Thy summer’s play My thoughtless hand Has brushed away. Am not I A fly like thee? Or art not thou A man like me? For I dance And drink, and sing, Till some blind hand Shall brush my wing. If thought is life And strength and breath And the want Of thought is death; Then am I A happy fly, If I live, Or if I die.

Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
“Do you bring bad news bird?
A note, perhaps, curled between your talons.
Are you here - to wait for me turn to carrion?
Raven, will you speak? Or mock me with those
green-black feathers and
Eyes black pools of midnight sin.
Open your soul and let me in.”
And the raven stood there
for a moment like a vulture over war.
And I heard the raven;
Quoth the raven,...

Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
The first of a series of short poems responding to “The Raven,” - Edgar Allan Poe
-
At the foot of this carving. I’m stood, admiring that thing-
A representation of my soul perhaps, (strewn in feathers
across the floor) I’ve known softer nights before.
And here I am, all eyes in the dark and inquisition
Takes a hold. The raven will not fly as others did before,

Pathway
I’m gonna lay out a path for you
A path of my own ((God-damned)) heart,
So you can tread on every ((God-damned)) cavity
Like you always ever wanted to.
I’m gonna lay out a path for you
Of brittle bones, my ((God-damned)) ribcage.
Ain’t that what you wanted?
Go heavier there.
You’re not causing
me the pain you wanted to.
Not yet.
Shall I give you a hand?

Anger.
I want to get away.
From him,
the man who thinks
He can trample
All
Over
My
Heart.
The funny thing is: he can’t.
—-
What darkness fell when
He went away. Only,
To be brightened by a sun
Far greater than the sum
Of the stars in his eyes.
How bright I shone,
How wonderful!
And he with jealousy
In his throat became to
Hate through loving another.
Perhaps she realised...

An Unlikely Love Poem from a Table to a Chair
Here’s a little bit of fun :)
I’m but a humble table crafted from Moroccan wood,
But there is so much I’d love to do, if for a day I could.
I’d go out on holiday, wear only sun block to the beach,
Or I’d climb a rocky mountain; make heights men could not reach.
But there’s a first thing and a last thing I’d make sure that I would do,
I would confess my fondest love to the one who has been...
Day 4 - My View on Religion
Religion, faith, belief… whatever you like to call it. I think it can be a wonderful thing, something that can prove to be such a friend in times of great need. I have my own beliefs which get me through hard days and hopefully make me a more compassionate person. I don’t hate atheism, rather I accept that it is a belief based on science - perhaps a religion in its own right.
One...
Day 3 - My View on Drugs and Alcohol
I hate the idea. I would never do drugs, unless they were prescribed for an illness or something. As for alcohol, I wouldn’t get drunk but I do understand having a drink or two on a special occasion like new year or a birthday, or with a special meal.
I always feel sorry for people who waste their lives drinking and doing drugs, and I know I couldn’t let myself deteriorate like...

And a white flower grew from the bed. It grew quickly, so quickly in fact that I felt that if I watched it carefully enough I could even see it moving. It was flourishing in the afternoon heat- twisting through where particles of air had been just moments before. I felt like a child again, watching the hour-hand on an antique clock and hoping… with all my might… I might see it...

Kindness to a Flower
I walked through woodlands with a flower
Taking it from one meadow to the next
And though the smells of autumn had grown sour
There was plenty of winter to respect.
The petals I held began to whither-
And the stem curled right up, it was a shame.
But I took said blossom to the river,
Where it soaked up life and prettiness again.
I won’t forget the flower thanking me,
By turning bright and...

A Sonnet for Him
And I wonder when I watch you sleeping
Do you hear your name spoken legato?
Though in your dreams you are softly weeping,
Do you hear my sweet-sung ostinato?
If you could respond and say I love you
While you slept in fits and grasp me closer
I would lie too satisfied and subdued
To be this heart strung love composer
You see, while your dreams scream and rebell,
I speak to you softly to help you...

The Fourteenth
The truth came out.
The lines are broken,
And I can laugh.
Day 2 - Where I want to be in 10 years.
I want to be teaching children how to get their emotions out of their system safely using creative methods, drawing, writing, painting, sculpting… and not just any children. I want to help those who have gone through terrible things, things like child abuse, serious illness, cancer, bereavement… and I want to help them to make big differences to themselves, and to create beautifully.
Day 1 - My Current Relationship
…is amazing.
I couldn’t ask for a better, a more understanding, a more devoted man than him. He is the sun of my morning and the moon of my darkest nights. He is my love.

The one I love.
To the one I love.
I could never have envisioned this moment, that I would be typing my love to you. If only I could articulate it exactly the way my heart would… but these words will have to do. I adore you. Aria
Can you hold me,
Tightly? Before you go.
Before you turn your back,
Just wrap me in those…
Those arms…
or comforting words.
Can you read me your devotion
And let me count the letters,
One by one into my heart?
One last time, before you go,
Will you tell me of your sentiments,
Your final promise,
Of your love?

I have worked so hard
For this.
For him, for love!
I have worked with passion,
Determination and strength.
Known battles and fallen
(To the feet of some.)
I’ve known triumph over roses.
And so I seeth
When I hear you say
You know love.

I believe in a world, where I could reach out
And you would be right there.
Right by my side,
No physicality to hold us apart.
But I know, and I believe
That it’s already here.
That in a perfect world
There is no physical boundary.
We are just two hearts
Side by side.
I believe.

Her room is full of perspicuous poetry;
And drawings, that make perfect
Emotional sense.
I can’t help but peel back the cover
Of a worn diary
Thickened by years of ink.
Nothing has been ruled out -
In pristine condition,
Here is her life.

This is the first time
Your bed of nails has
Found my face.

The Wind and I
I listened to the wind
And it spoke to me
Like a whisper.
Cold lips pressed to lobe
And moving
To the rhythm of leaves.
Icy words are
Undistinguishable.
In front and behind.
And from the sides -
I hear my name.
Calling my name in
Every tongue.
I was no longer alone.
-
Me and the wind,
The wind and I
Belong.
-
I keep Him behind the shutters.

I was walking

A Silver Ship
Over a mountain,
Not far away from home.
I saw a silver ship go sailing,
The boldest ship I’d ever known.
It flew across the ocean,
On sails like silver wings.
Parting the moonlit water
With a bough fit for the kings.
That ship was not a vessel
For ordinary men,
It was a lover’s haven,
A ship built just for them.
The sailors sailed for no-one
But the lover at their lips.

The Little Pink Dress (In the rain)
A little girl in a pink dress
Skipped by.
The rain was like
sludge.
Tipped from the sky
from a hundred dumper
trucks.
It fell in clumps
Hard as rock sometimes
And cold.
Calamitous pelting.
The little girl danced
Through the raindrops
Singing songs,
(Echolocation in the
dreary dusk).
And skipped on
Through.
Her little pink dress
Blushed, even
Pinker in the wet.

You hung a crystal round my neck.
One so large… so heavy,
that when you pushed me
in an ocean of my tears
I struggled not to drown.
Does anyone REALLY want to straighten these...

To be in love
Inspiration: What do you think it means to be in love?
(These things are really inspirational.)
To be in love /tu bi ɪn ləv/ 1. the act of feeling undying affection for someone, of knowing they are the only one you wish to share your entire life with, of feeling that you would do anything for the other to make them happy, comfortable and cared for. 2. there is no written or spoken rule to say...

Home
Inspiration: Where have you been spending your time lately? Three/Five/Ten years ago would you have expected to be there?
First home
First resort.
I find refuge in being me,
Here in this first home.
The love lights the windows
In the darkest of nights,
And those lonely shadows are cut short
By proud spotlights.
I think you know where I mean;
Where I’ve come to be myself.
And...
